The viewer learns right along with the students on the video rhythms and hand techniques that allow them to have a liberating and enjoyable experience with the art of trance drumming [where if played as instructed] without any damage or pain to their hands. The basic vocal terminology used in the workshops is explored and this terminology is used in the CD. It is a great way to enter the world of hand drumming.Time: 60 min. Here, the student can continue to develop as a drummer by playing alone with the drums in each section. The terminology used in the workshops and video is applied to give the student the entry point of each rhythm. The first three songs [Tracks 1,2,3] on the CD contain many rhythms that can be played in interwoven combinations. Each of the rhythms is first given vocally. Then that rhythm is played on the drum. Listen carefully as each drum rhythm is introduced. The rhythms on each song can be combined with any of the rhythms to create many unique multi-rhythmic cycles. You and your friends can drum along and explore various combinations of the rhythms. The remaining songs [Tracks 4,5,6] do not have any vocal drum instructions. You can play any one of the rhythms you have learned from the preceding tracks to these tracks.
